why do the dvds i have burnt with nero using a ricoh rw+r writer do not work on other pc dvd roms ? if some one can help i might get a peaceful nights sleep

Not all DVDROM are able to read DVD-+RW I think.

My Pioneer DVR104 only deals with DVD-R/RW nothing to do with +R/RW.... When I burn , everything plays ok in my Pioneer drive and my stand alone Sony DVP-NS305 :D
