Hi
I have a standart machine :

Asus A7A
AMD K7 1.4GB
512 MB RAM
80 GB 7200 HarDisk
Nvidia Riva TNT
WINXP SP1

I'm using this machine for a while withou problems, and i runn maestro with compatibily on for w2000.
And everething was fine.Maestro running flawless and even reallview is working with drivers from Cinemaster.

I dont know why, now when i run maestro my machine get's very slow, even if i just open maestro 2.9a the machine start to take ages to responde to a mouse click.
My cpu and memory on task manager are normal, no events also...

I thinking to resintall the OS,
But before this drastic action i would like to know if any1 had this problem and how to solve it.

BTW: i have a very old RIVA TNT 16mb AGP if i upgrade to a GE-force or something like this will improove maestro performance ?

When adding assets to Maestro, such as .ac3 and .m2v files, there is a pretty severe memory leak. Maestro will use all the available system memory and begin hitting the page file. Usually after importing, compiling, and creating image, I will just restart to get my memory back. You can run a memory defrag/free up program but they are never as good as a cold boot.

fcaeiro, you double-posted this question in the DVD-authoring forum(tut-tut!!)

Anyway, since I do not have authority to merge that thread with threads in this forum section, I've deleted your other thread and am pasting auenf's response here:

if you remove the cinemaster codecs does it still lag?

my guess is the cinemaster codecs cause the two versions that work on maestro (99 or 2000) arent meant to run on XP (which is where cineplayer comes in, but doesnt work with maestro).

Enf...

In future, please refrain from double-posting - it is against forum rules for precisely the reason that it clogs up the forum, and wastes members' time responding to the question twice.

Hi
Thanks for the info

My intention was not double posting, but i didn’t saw this forum that’s why i posted on dvd authoring.
Then when I managed to find this hardware forum it seemed more appropriated for the kind of problem that i have.
That’s why I reposted again here.

Sorry for that,
