Pioneer vs Toshiba DVD Players?

My friend is buying a new DVD-ROM and is considering the following models (note that he only does DVD playback).

Pioneer 106S
Pioneer 117
Toshiba M1612

Which of those should my friend get? thanks in advance.

i would buy the 106S or the 1602. you can slow them both down for more silent playback with cdbremse.
if you ever want ro rip a dvd faster than 2x-5x, take the 106S
