Well I hope that supermediastore did not pay Trilight to remove the "sticky option" on this thread

Anyway here is the latest SCAM from supermediastore & Co:
They just sent TODAY a special ad where they write:

10 Verbatim 2X DVD-R, DataLifePlus 4.7GB in Jewel Case - 10 Pack
Final Price After rebate $23.50
Great for most DVD recorder, dvd burner, dvd ripper and more. And also Receive a $12.50 Off Mail-In Rebate from Verbatim.

Well the mail in rebate already expired last December
 Unbelievable. They have absolutly no respect for their customers

Check it yourself on their website:
http://store.yahoo.com/supermediastore/verdat47bran.html
Rebate:

I am not even a mod of this forum. Do not have that ability. I agree that such advertising is completely misleading. However, having worked with many people in DTP (Desktop Publishing for those that don't know), I know how easy it is to hand some info off to someone and have them put it together incorrectly or with out of date information. I'm sure it was an honest mistake but of course this is a "Supermediastore-bashing" thread so I'm sure everyone will think I have some reason to protect them. Nope. I just like playing devil's advocate and explaining that I have seen such pure mistakes myself before. I would surely be the first to let anyone know if I got burned by something or someone. I'm not much for keeping my opinions to myself. hehe ;)

Ok I just received a friendly email from Supermediastore's marketing Director who apparently is also a member of the doom9 community :)

According to him Supermediastore is not owned anymore by Meritline, and they have a brand new management team.

He appologized for the Marketing error regarding the Verbatim DVD-R.

Fine, if that's true that's a good news, and I am willing to buy again from their store.

@supermediastore please remove the link to the rebate if you agree that it expired last year ! Your page still contain false advertising.

Well I ordered a few dvd-r's from supermediastore a few weeks ago and I got them on time. So maybe they are really different from Meritline now. I will never order from Meritline again! They like to charge my card and then don't ship anything for weeks without explanation until I harrass them.
