for some reason whenever i try and load an avs file generated by gordianknot into virtualdub it just says 'cannot determine filetype'. this used to work (i've encoded some movies this way) but now it doesn't :/

anybody got any ideas?!?

thanks in advance

I think danbee's question should be removed to either VirtualDub, or Avisynth, or GordianKnot forum, but absolutely it's not XviD related ;).

well it's related in as much as i'm trying to encode using xvid. sorry if i posted this in the wrong forum, didn't mean to cause offence... :(

don't worry about moving this thread, just delete it. i'll go and post now in the virtualdub forum.

It is better to remove the thread to AviSynth or Gordian Knot. Can you post your avs-file?

Did you install AviSynth correctly? One can check that by making a script containing

version()

and loading it into VirtualDub.
