19.181 Frames after doing IVTC with DVD2AVI?

Hi!

i've got a little problem enconding yards ntsc! As usual i use dvd2avi to do a Force Film on the source, it seemed to me, that is a film source, cause dvd2avi told me, that 99% of the flic is film .. so i used the built in ivtc of dvd2avi!

then i created a quite normal avs-script without any decomb commands... checked the avs-script with virtua-dub (btw it had 23.xxx frames in virtua dub) and started encondig the avs-script with cce 2.50

after enconding i just loaded the created mpv into dvd2avi (just for checking) and what did i see ?? me .mpv has 19.181 frames/sec ... okay, seems to be a double ivtc, but why ??? i just used the built in force film from dvd2avi! and dvd2avi said 29fps and film 99%, progressive and interlaced were flipping all the time, so it should be okay, to do a ivtc, or is that wrong ?? what do i have to do, in order to make a fine encode of this source ??

i've read to these ivtc guides again, and i believe, that i've got a hybrid source .. i checked the source again, and i think i've seen some interlaced frames in the movie itself! so how could i get rid of these ??? cause i believe i will end in jerky encode after finishing the current encode!

You have obviously applied an IVTC to an already progressive sequence. Using FORCED FILM gives you a fps of 23.976 (or 80% of 29.97). Appling the additional IVTC to this stream gave you a fps of 19.1808 (or 80% of 23.976). This is the only way I know to get the 19.181 fps. I've done this occasionally myself (just "experimenting", mind ya'!) by running DVD2AVI on a progressive sequence without first checking the FIELD OPERATION box under VIDEO (it defaults to the value used in the last operation). Double check your sequence of operations and you will probably find your error.

...smile i just found my problem... as usually it was sitting in front of the screen! when checking the video i just forgot to turn off the ivtc ;) .. so my preview resulted in a 19.181 frames video .. hehehehehhe .. so i was damn stupid!! ;)
