My standalone dvd player reads cd-r with mp3! i've burned a dvd with mp3 and my standalone dvd player doesn't read it! I used the nero 5.5.9.14! What could be the problem?

I don't think you have a problem, it's just that stand alone DVD players won't play MP3's on a DVD yet. I would guess that this feature will be added at some point but don't expect it real soon since there's probably not much demand for this yet. If you can play the DVD on your computer then you have burned them correctly.

Yes, BladeRunnerpt, I can confirm that it's not your problem - it's your standalone DVD player. I've burned DVD's with hundreds of MP3's and my Samsung DV1000 won't recognize the disc. The firmware probably only looks for MP3's on CDROM's, not DVDs. I don't think most standalones are setup to read the disc in DVD-ROM format, just DVD-Video format. I think there is a DVD-audio format out there, I just haven't heard much about it.
