thanks,

sorry i don't know much about tmpg errors, but i do know a couple things about the forum rules :)

since your new it's not that big of deal, but don't use CAPITAL letters to try and emphasize a point, some say that is a good way to get ignored. also dont' use "??" in your title (see rule 9 i believe)...

sorry i couldn't help, but im sure someone else can...you can also try a search.

I edited the title to remove the second ?.
One is enough. Caps are shouting and considered rude by some. Those people avoid posts like this on principal.
There is no need to shout NEED HELP, Anybody. We are always willing to help.

I am no big TMPG guru either, but I will try and offer a few suggestions.

Has the 30 day trial expired? It only works as Mpeg-1 after 30 days unless you register it.

Do you have anything like Norton Unerase running? Shut it off on the drive you are working on if you do.

Do you have plenty of free space on the drive?

Does this happen with all material or just this latest one? Try another DVD to test.

If none of this works post you entire DVD2SVCD_Log.txt using cut and paste and not attach.

Hey Guys.
forgive my lameness and my laziness to read the rules.
when we are in dire need of answers we tend to just look for it directly, w/o having to go through the pipe.

Markrb:
I have tried 3 different DVDs and same thing happens, also i do have enough HD space, say 5GB, the Tmpg is not a trial version and i don't have any norton utilities running. I will post the dvd2svcd log tonite (since, i had it at home).

whenever this error message appears, i manually look for it. but i can't find it thoroughout the whole drive(HD). How does this avisynth_script_files.avs created?
thank,

Before you post the log file try a couple of things.

1. Completely un-install DVD2SVCD and make sure the directory is gone.
2. Erase all the content from the directory you are encoding in.
3. Re-Install DVD2SVCD 1.09.B3
4. Try it again.

if the above does not work try

1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 of above.
2. Go and get the 1.10.RC1 Bundle and the 1.10.RC2 update in the HELP!!!!(bad joke by DVD2SVCD) thread in the advanced forum.
3. Try it again.

If all else fails then post your log file.

You don't have to do the entire movie a chapter or two should suffice for testing.

The AVS file is usually in the directory you are encoding to. It's the one the final images are put into.

Make sure you haven't manually upgraded any of the software bundled in DVD2SVCD. Like the Avisynth file, DVD2AVI or anything else. If you are using Dlink there is a problem with a version I have heard.

Hey Guys,

Sorry it took me a while to post my result. got busy lately.
anyways, I took marks advice to unload both DVD2SVCD and Tmpgenc and reinstall them back. it work! Now, I've been trying to analyze what's causing this.. I found it has something to do with HD space.
also, once you uninstal the programs and reinstalled it, don't try to run recover because you will have the same error and has to unsintall and reinstall the software again, looks like it has a flag that needs to be turn off.. in other words, it's better to start the whole process(conversion) again from the beginning, make sure to delete the folder or files of the previous ripped and converted movie. If this is not right, anybody, pls. correct this. thanks. good work mark!
