What's your 'prefered' method for encoding anime?

I tried encoding some of my dvds and for some reason I can't remove the interlacing thing. Always have mouths that contain too many lines in them which there isn't suppose to be any.

If possible can someone list their 'procedures' so that I might have some success in this.

Well, replies would be appreciated. I'm off to reading the guides.

you havent said what software you rae using or have tried. you havent said what output you are trying for (avi, mpeg).
please say what you are using as that will allow people to help you.
