Hello guys...

Here's my own DivX 5 Bitrate Calculator :
http://membres.lycos.fr/lovecraft25/bin/DivX5_Bitrate_Calc_v1.30.zip

It's the only one I use because it's pretty accurate (with 1CD movie) and it corresponds to my needs.

The good points... :
- You enter the lenght of your empty CD (ex : 79min 57sec 74frm) PLUS the Nero's additional data PLUS the size of your lancher and it gives you the maximum size of your movie (down to the kilobyte), in order NOT to overburn your CD.
- You enter the audio-video interleave that you want (ex : 500 ms)
- It takes into account the frame-overhead calculation (thanks to TheWef's formula ;) )
- It calculates (very accurately) the size of the 1st-pass temp AVI (useless ?)
- A little "frames to lentgh" convertor

...and the bad ones :
- It works only with CBR MP3 (you enter manually the bitrate)
- The quality indicator is... subjective
- It's an excel-worksheet
- I wrote it in french (Doh ! Sorry guys...)
- Certainly a lot of other things to complain about... (I rely on you to tell me what...)

Future evolution(s) :
- Some other stuff like VBR MP3, AC3... support (need more info to do that)
- Maybe a translation into english
- Maybe a transformation into a VB prog with more intuitive GUI

So, I rely on you, guys, to have some feedback about it, in order to build a better (nicer?) calculator or just for fun...
