Think about it. If you have a disc that's over 4.7Gb and you want to copy it, you have to either rip the movie from the disc and burn movie only back to the disc or even re-encode a movie and burn it back to disc.

I can show you how to put your full > 4.7Gb dvd back on to a disc using Scenarist. I'm talking about full disc authoring here, creating multiple titles, linking menus, creating and assigning buttons etc. And you'll be surprised how easy it is. I'll not bs you, video streams will still have to re-encoded etc to fit it all on the disc, plus you may have to stick with a single menu. But if you want to add stuff from other discs, such as Dolby Digital or dts demos etc, I can show you how to do it. And I have only been at this lark for a few weeks myself.

If enough people are interested, I'll put it together and post it on this site.

@mickrick

A guide would benefit a lot of people and even some of the 'old timers' might learn a new trick or two.

Yes, mickrick, please do share your wisdom with us all - that's what the Doom9 community is all about. Undoubtedly, you will, in time, benefit from someone else's wisdom :)

I look forward to your guide.

Do you expect responses asking you not to post???

C'mon already, do it!

okay. I'm currently working on this, just sorting out a few niggly bits. I will post as soon as it's ready. Can I post screenshots?

Screenshots (possibly limited number of them) can be attached. They will appear after a day, when approved (I did it once).

How about zipping the document and post it this way. The problem is, that they accept attachments up to max. 200kB (small...)

Maybe you can put it on your (or other) website and post the link?
Something to think about...

Just a minor point:

By all means post screen shots, but a full document would be better in the long run. In the meantime, if you DO wish to post screenshots, please use something like Adobe Image Ready to make them as small as possible (I mean file size). This will take minimum bandwidth from the forum, and will allow the page to load quickly, too.

I look forward to seeing your guide. My Maestro guide never saw the light of day cos I took too long (work pressures etc.), and I was then beaten to it! lol

I'm really keen (work pressures permitting!) to learn Scenarist.
