Hi,
recently ive been having some extrmely strange codec problems, whenever i watch a movie file, the cpu load jumps, its very jumpy in full screen as cpu load jumps to 100%
i have 702mb ram, 950mhz tbird. gf3
i never used to get this problem before, it just started one day, and ive tried reinstalling wmp, codecs, gfx drivers, but still the same problem...
i sued to use the actual codecs for divx, but i came across ffdshow, and it seems to lower the cpu load, i still cant watch in full screen, but its smoother in normal size.
i have the latest version of ffdshow that says its supports xvid and all the divx versions... for some strange reason though, when i try to watch (what i think are div3) files, i just get a black box where the picture would be, and wmp does play it, the time counter doesnt move.
i dont know whats going on, but its driving me mad!
whats even odder is that these files that dont work in wmp will work in bsplayer, BUT all the pictures are flipped, not just for div3 for for everything.
So any help would be great!
Thank you
edit: oh yes i just thought i would mention that when i go into full screen with WMP, the screen goes all black like it would normally, but instead of the picture being full screen, the picture is the normal size, but its in the corner of the screen and theres lods of black around it, hopefully you know what i mean.
