The purpose here is to test the best way if the media is a good one or not, @X1 and/or @X2.

Here is the process we suggest:

1/ Find a DVD5 original DVD
2/ Rip it with DVD Decrypter, in File mode
3/ Burn it with ImgTool 1,004 and Nero 5.5.10.28, on a fresh new clean install of your favorite Windows. Use norton Ghost to save your old OK system if you want.
4/ Use DVDSpeed from Nero on it, in a DVD-ROM reader, Burner are too much efficient in DVDR reading, even crappy.
You will get 2 informations : I/O error or not, and a curve which show you the reading speed accross the DVD

You will find some examples in the following posts. Differences are easy to understand, and you can be sure there is an impact on SA compatibility.

Then, and this is the ONLY test to check a SA compatibilty, WATCH the FULL movie; you will see if there is pixelisation or not , freezing etc..

An interresting thing is to test the same media @X1 and X2, and you will discover that even with branded X2, it's best to write @X1....

I only put 3 examples, and closed the thread, to avoid 10 000 images on the forum. If you want to do full testing of all your medias on every firmware and wrtite speeds, please do your own website to host them.

It also works on pioneer 444 & Sony 315, but give pixelisation in my 715 adn do not even start in my V4 PS2 (did not test on V3 & V5 which works @X1)
And this is a good burn @X2 I selected. Lots of other I tested, flought to trash, due to IO/CRC errors before the end.
