Hi all

When i drag my m2v file from the assets list to the movie window i get "The video asset length is greater than the maximum allowed".

I ripped the vobs using Smartriper and shrunk them using TMPGenc. When i look at the properties for the asset in Maestro it says the Bit rate is 9000 kbit/s, this is a bit high no? I have tried without audio and it still fails and as far as i understand as long as you are under the 10000kbit/s mark everything should be peachy?

Anybody seen this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated

PS I am newbie to authoring but have been ripping for a wee while now.

Details
--------
TMPGenc
Min bitrate - 0 kbit/s
Max bitrate - 9000 kbit/s
Avg bitrate - 4922 kbit/s

Movie duration - 1h, 54min, 11 secs
M2v file size - 3.91GB

Cheers, :)

if you had did a search for:

The video asset length is greater than the maximum allowed

(which is the exact error message you are getting), you would have come up with about 5 threads, this one included.
