if I have a movie with ac3 dual-audio tracks, how do i turn one track off when playing on wmp6.4... any idea? i played around in the properties of vid and can't find a way

Either use a player that supports 2 audio tracks, such as BSPlayer (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Players/bsplay085.486.zip), or install the Morgan Stream Switcher (http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/Audio/mmswitch.exe).

I have heard that morgan switcher causes problems.Why dont you use zoomplayer?It supports dual audio
