Hi,
I`m newbie to capturing vhs so forgive me...
My question is can I capture my videos from vcr with my geforce4600 as I`ve installed video capturing drivers with that card? I tried already with different capturing programs but they didn`t recognize the card. Do I need a TV-card or something or will I just have to "activate the s-vhs-"port"" in windows?
Thx,
Tantab.

are you using w2k or xp?
which brand of geforce have you got?
mostly all the geforce vivo cards will work with the nvidia wdm drivers
ftp://ftp.leadtek.com.tw/entertainment_graphics/GeForce4_MyVIVO_Series/Driver/021015/Windows//ALL_WDMDRV_21015.exe
they should work fine in virtualdub
if not then try
virtual vcr (http://www.digtv.ws/)
remember that obviously, you should disable the tv out whilst you are capturing, the card's tv chip cannot both output and input simultaneously

i've got a geforce 4 mx 460 and capture works fine...
i use PowerVCR II for capturing to mpg... because i don't have enough diskspace to save uncompressed video :-(

Alright, Wotef, it seems like I had the wrong or to old wdm-drivers installed, thx for the leadtek-link!
Till now my picture is only black/white but I think that`s a setting problem or something I might be able to handle on my own. If not you`ll hear from me..;)

About the black and white thing it may be a wrong set of video system PAL/NTSC. Try switching, it should work.
