I've been using divx5 but I've heard alot of good things with xvid.
So can anyone post some settings that I can play around with? I just need some starting point.
Thank you. :)

There is no general best setting for anime, so a little more information would have been nice. Like how clean is the source, is it PAL or NTCS, is it interlaced, etc.
Most anime could benefit from a smoother filter, but depending on how clean the source is there's good or bad filters.
Also a simple search for anime or manga or cartoon (in this section and the avisynth section) would give you lots of nice posts with settings to read, without having to repeat all those settings here.
Basically, whatever works for DivX5 anime encodes also works for XviD anime encodes.

I did search before I created this thread but nothing concrete came up. :(

I made the search using the word "anime" and only in the Xvid section. I assumed that I would get more appropriate answers than doing a search on the every sections. :)

In case you were having trouble with the codec's setup, do a search on 'xvid' and 'anime'. That's not too much to ask, I think.:o
Hope it helps, perhaps it doesn't...
