Ok, I've search around for this one, but I haven't found the answer yet to my problem.

I have tons of SVCD already on cd's and I need to convert them over to VCD. These SVCD's are already burned on CD and not on the HD, so is it possible to conver them? Should I move all the files on the HD?

Well, I tried doing the "header trick" to fool your DVD player into thinking your playing a VCD...I saw it from here:

http://www.geocities.com/newestmoviesencode/dvdvcd

This doesn't work for me through TMPGEnc. I go to the "MPEG TOOLS" and I get an error message when I choose the "AVESQ01" from the CD under the video input tab...it says "Illegal MPEG video stream".

Can anyone suggest anything?

rip the track from your cd's using vcdeasy....if your player doesn't like the tmpg trick then you're stuck doing a re-encode...since you will be converting to vcd i would highly suggest using tmpge to encode to vcd2.0

How do you rip the track with VCDEasy? Sorry for the newbie question here...just want to get it right. :-)
