Wasn't sure if this is advanced or not -

I'm using Scenarist - I have some motion menus (.m2v) that create a problem. If the user stops the menu, then restarts it - the button is not there.

I have the forced button off - but I was under the impression that the player would remember what button was selected.

Is there a way to get this back - or maybe even a way to send the user back to the beginning of the menu (the start of the .m2v) when they hit play again?

This may sound simplistic but why not just make pressing the "stop" button a "Prohibited User Option"? It would eliminate the possibility of this anomaly altogether.

Trilight's solution is the way to do it. You're quite right - the DVD "forgets" subtitle information (including button info) when you press STOP. So the only way to protect your menu is to disable the STOP button, and the forward-backward scan while you're at it too.
