Hey,
I did not know on which forum to post this question… so I guess someone here can help me…
Well, I am using the latest DVD2SVCD to convert my DVD collection.
Everything is going OK but no subtitles.
I looked in the log to find something suspicious but nothing. All subs ripped and muxed into the mpeg correctly.
I decided to create the SVCD using NERO (instead VCDXBuild), so I added the mpeg files to NERO, burned the CD, and now I can see all subs correctly.
But this way I am losing the ability to jump between chapters.
Is this a known problem with VCDXBuild  ?
Thanx,

@rumba after reading the faq's and sticky's and using the search funtion if you still haven't found your question answered then come back and re ask in this thread. btw="by the way" all problem posts that pertains to dvd2svcd belong in the basic section.

Hi,
Well, After doing some homwork (printed more then 40 pages of Q&A) I could not find any EXACT case of the problem. May be I missed it.
If someone please can give me any direction / links /clue where can I find the answer.
BTW, I tryed changing the PBS mode and still no good.
Thanx,

In the subtitle tab switch to Enreach's mux.exe instead of winsubmux (of course you have to find Enreach I-Author first somewhere) .

OK. I got Enreach I-Author and choose the mux.exe. It cause a deferent problem:
when dvd2svcd is getting to the point of muxing the subs + audio it starts something like 15 instances of mux.exe:eek: with the same parameters.
And when each instance finishes the audio muxing it crushes! (I tried both ME and XP)

Hello:
I asked about the same 10 days ago and nobody helped me.
I have the same problem and tested the mux.exe from i-author and the error is exactly:
Closing program
OGT First time over error detected. Fixing in progress.
A lot of instances of mux.exe lunched and, at the end,... MFC error (typical Windows XP error windows).
But... the thing I can't understand is why with Nero the same file works perfectly!... I tried to disable PBC (for somepeople it works) and... same problem, no subtitles.
Test with VCDImager 0.7.11, it does not work for me but yes to other people.
Good luck!

a search would have yielded an answer.
download the latest beta of dvd2svcd in the "help" topic in the advanced dvd2svcd forum and your problem will be fixed.
the problem lies in that dvd2svcd tries to close the program and restart when an error occurs, but is unsuccessful in actually closing it...thus you get lots of instances of mux.exe running.
@xostia: I don't see any post by you regarding this same problem. I only see something involving subtitles (which im clueless about)
