Can't burn on HP200i

I've been trying to burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders onto dvd+r's, but every time I do I get a message that says there is insufficient space on the dvd, even if it's under 4gb. I'm running WindowsXP with NTFS using the HP DVD200i. Doesn't work with Recordnow or Nero or any other dvd burner. I can burn an image file, but that won't play on my settop dvd player. Anybody run up against this?

and have no problems.

In nero, I use the DVD-ROM [UDF/ISO] option. Also, i only burn the VIDEO_TS folder for authored DVDs.
