View Full Version : How Do I Combine Movies Onto One CDR?

I have several DVDs that contain a number of 1/2 TV episodes(eg Black Adder,Twilight Zone etc). Currently I am using DVD2SVCD to rip individual episodes onto separate cdrs however it would be nice to be able to burn 2 episodes per CDR.

Can someone please tell me what applications I need to use to be able to do this. Also do any of the doom9 GUIDES go through this process.

Thanks inadvance for your help.

If you go to the bitrate tab and set the cd size to 345 megs it will make an image that is approx 350 megs. You also want to tell it to not make a bin/cue file. Then you would have to use Neros SVCD templete to burn the 2 .mpg files onto the cd.

You can also use VCDEasy if you wish to chapter your episodes like the DVD. I use it all the time.

You may want to give this a shot.

Rip the first episode into the final directory that you wish to use as your starting point using internal routines.
Then rip the second episode into a temp directory. Rename these VOB files the same as the first set, but make them start 1 number higher. At this point simply copy the renamed VOB files into the final directory and start DVD2SVCD as normal.
This will make both sets into one encode. Keep in mind you will have to figure the time out on your own since the IFO will only show the time from the first episode. This will not affect DVD2SVCD though just your CD and bitrate settings that you decide.

This isn't all wine and roses though. Sometimes the second episode can become out of sync, but this only happens about 10% of the time. Just make sure to watch it before you delete everything.
I have done it this way many times and only rarely do I have problems, but unfortunetly if you do there is no way to fix it and you will have to start over the way stated above.
