View Full Version : bbmpeg error

Hello,
Well I already searched the forums and didn't find an answer to my problem so i'm going to post it.
I'm using dvd2svcd 1.09b3 and CCE 2.5Full.
After it transencodes the AC3 track from my dvd it runs bbmpeg and from there it all goes down hill and doesn't work..
It returns this error
"Mux start time is greater than total time 0 seconds"

Thanks for all help

Post your logfile please. Also, are you sure it goes to bbmpeg after transcoding the audio? If so, the video encoding stage is completely skipped...

i assume you tried ripping with internal routines before using vStrip? it looks like cce didn't like your input file very much...i see something like 5 seconds and 4 frames.

How long is the video you are ripping? The amount ripped by Vstrip seems very small. Have a look at these two sections they will show you your freespace before ripping and your freespace after ripping:

--------------------------------------------------------
- 10/15/2002 1:39:50 PM
- Free on drive C: 108222.64 mb
- vStrip
--------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------
- 10/15/2002 1:40:39 PM
- Free on drive C: 108113.71 mb
- AUDIO Extraction
--------------------------------------------------------

For a typical movie the size difference is usually in the 4-5GB range and you only show about 109MB's.

Try doing what hoozdapimp says and restart ripping with the Internal Routines.

If you want to see what was encoded by CCE play the Encoded_Video.mpv file in media player. It will be video only, but will show you what was ripped and encoded. If this looks like the entire video the problem is elsewhere and let us know.

@hoozdapimp Sorry I go and did it again. I said basically what you did. Hope you don't mind. I have been in a teacher kind of mood lately and want to show others what you and I saw to give us that conclusion.

Play the ripped VOB(s) in WinDVD or PowerDVD to see if all the video is there.

Have you tried to rip it with the internal routines instead of Vstrip?

If you did post your BeSweet log as well. I can't really see the answer yet.

what dvd is this?
i still don't understand your settings...you have a amd2200a+, 512mb corsair ram, a 120gb hd, and your cce ripping speed is 0.220 and cce only takes 4 minutes to encode on a 4 pass vbr? something is strangelly messed up...oh yeah and why is your logfile so colorful, and why are your directory names c:name instead of c:\name ??

markrb

You said the video was 20 minutes long right?

Even if only 20 minutes you should be ripping a larger filesize then about 100mb's. When I recently ripped a 30 minute video it was almost 900mb's in size.

You did play the ripped Vob off the HD and not off the DVD with PowerDVD or WinDVD right? Do not select the IFO only the individual Vob file.

I am going to recomend something I rarely do and only try it here.
Try to rip the Video with SmartRipper instead.

It really doesn't rip the entire vob file.. i think that's prob the reason.. and no it won't play in powerdvd off the hd...
Thanks

Please post the DVD2SVCD.ini file.

Try ripping using Internal Routines a different 20 min video clip and see if the results are the same.

Also download latest DVD2SVCD release from DVD2SVCD Advanced Topics forum and try to do it again and post the log file. The latest release uses a different method of sorts to authenticate the DVD which is probably not your problem, might you might as well try it.

AS markrb already stated, use smatripper to check and see if you can successfully rip the VOB and play it with PowerDVD. Post results.

Good luck
