The 6th Day ripping problem

Hi.

I tried to rip (only ripping) The 6th day (arnold movie) with Dvd2Svcd and it rips ok, but with no audio. Also tried another ripping program but again the files ripped vob files are without audio.
Ripped another movie before that one and no problem with that.
Is that a common problem with The 6th day (region2 dk) ?
Dont think im doing something wrong since i've ripped other dvd's without problem.

Anyone with an idea what it could be the problem ??

I tried to rip the movie (6th Day) with DVD Decrypter but the sound isn't there.
Tried to rip another movie with DVD Decrypter and no problems there.
It's very very strange.
The protection type is the same as other movies, so i dont know what's wrong.
The movie play well in a dvd machine or dvd-rom player, but can see there is some scratches on the media, could that be the problem, even it plays well ??

could you please post the stream info ?
I'm afraid it's DTS track which you try to play, not the AC3 track.

It got:
0xE0 Video Stream
0x80 Audio AC3/6ch/English (main sound)
0x81 Audio AC3/6ch/Magyar (ungarish or something)
0x82 Audio AC3/6ch/Englísh (director comments)
And a bunch of subs:
0x20, 0x21 etc.

Tried with Direct Stream copy with 0xE0, 0x80 and 0x25 (danish subs), but same problem...

How did you grab the AC3 track ?
Direct stream copy to external file from DVDDecrypter ?
or use DVD2AVI to "Demux" it ?

Same as the other time. Just ripping the movie directly with DVD2SVCD or Smartripper or DVD Decrypter.
It works fine with other dvd's with AC3 track, so it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe it's the dvd media that there is something wrong with...

Sorry I can't help you further since I'm not a fan of all-in-one
app like DVD2SVCD ;)

I just love the manual method 'cause it will give you "total control".

Im 99.9% sure the stream is there, its just that your not ripping in the correct way for playback from the hdd.
Look at the guides on this site for 'RELIABLE' ways of playing from the hdd. Software players suck when it just comes to playing the vobs.
Use stream processing and demux the track. Unless it comes out to 0kb (very unlikely) you can be sure that the ripper is working just fine.
