I have the following audio stream
test_stereo.mp2
and I want to split to
test_mono_left_channel.mp2
test_mono_right_channel.mp2
Is there any software which can do that ???

1. convert it to stereo .wav file in winamp (options/output/diskwrite)
2. load in a wave editor such as WaveLab, save the left and right
channel as mono wave file separately (save special/save left...)
3. encode the mono .wav file as mono mp2.

Is there any way to split the channel without
reconvert, I thinking about if is possible
to demultiplex the left and right channel
without reconverting to wave ???
I want to run it in midnight. Is there any software
can do the job in batch mode ???
It this possible or have anyone do it in BeSweet ???

i don't know of any tool who offers this.
although, if your source mp2 is encoded as 'dual channel' this might be possible to 'demux' the mp2 into two mono mp2s. (loselessy! without decoding+encoding).
as for waves,
BeSplit can be used to demux N mono waves out of a N-channles wave file.
(that's also includes N=2 ;)).

you'd think if its not joint stereo this should be possible.. :\

If yes, I think it will be also possible to do this with the source encoded in stereo, but not in j-st.

@RadicalEd
It it not necessary to repeat well-know facts and you've posted it yourself.
Important is how to split the mp2 dual channel to 2 mono channel directly. Post you anwer here if you know what DSPguru has no answer of my inquiry jet, but claimed it.

DSPguru is the one who repeated the fact ;P

Under your neckname I see the discription "AMV.org junkie"
It had better for "short, useless message junkie"
At least it is better than "long but useless message junkie" :)

amv.org pretty much = short useless messages, yes, I've been severely tainted by spam ever since I migrated over there 4 months ago. Anyway Phade cleaned the place out last week and it's boring now since the off topic forum is auto-pruned every 3 days :/ they killed spam.
[end long useless message] ;)
ok, thats enough :D

(that's also includes N=2 ;)). mp2 demuxing of dual channel is now supported in BeSplit v0.9b6 (http://besplit.doom9.org).
