I dusted off my old pinnacle Studio DC10+ card from the shelf. I was thinking of converting some old S-VHS tapes from the old camcorder to DVD.
I got XP and the drivers that came with the card did not work with anything else but 98. So i got Pinnacle Studio 8 software that comes with XP drivers for the card, it worked great for a few captures, and then from a clear sky the program crashed (i was trying to view a clip i've captured within studo 8). ANd then i restarted Studio 8 and triws to capture a few more, the picture in the preview windows was now all blue, and jerky, you could even tell what was showing on the screen.

Have anyone had the same problen and come up with a solution?

thanks in advance,

Anders

Have you tried VirtualVCR? It works with the DC10+. I have one of these cards running under 2k. Studio 7 works fine for me although I haven't tried 8. What are your computers specs?

Apply the "Fast Processor Patch" and capture with AVI_IO.
