Netflix VS Greenci for your DVD's... which one of them?

I finally decided to put an end to blockbuster outrageous late fees and give a try to online renting. Netflix seems to be the most popular (until blockbuster, walmart and co. join it) but I recently found another DVD rental service (Greencine) specialized in independant productions, foreign movies and anime (lot of it). What I really like about them is their anime, and independant movies selection, however their selection on new movies is somehow... hidden and you really have to search for the new releases :/

Has anyone tried greencine service? if so, please send your feedback.

$19.95/month at netflix for the 3 dvd package is utter BS. Every month I'm charged $21.95. Take their prices, then add on $2.00. If my local Hollywood video had a larger selection for their $19.95/month/2 DVDs-at-once/unlimited plan, I'd switch to them in a second, to get rid of the 2 way 4 day shipping overhead. Netflix...thieving bastards. I hate hidden charges.

go with netflix, even dough the anime section ain't so big compare to green cine, netflix gives you 1 week to return the any dvd after you cancel your membership (i think they still do that), unlike green cine, your membership can only be cancel after they have receive the dvds back and before the next billed month (here goes a slow month); and there shipping really sucks! (well, for me anyway)

Netflix: 27 dvds a month (3 dvd)
Dvd Barn: 31 dvds a month (4 dvd)
Green Cine: 6 dvds trail (3 dvd)


most of green cine anime are available, but not that other type of anime.

Does anyone know if there is a similar service for Canada? I know Greencine and Netflix dont do Canada. I was looking at NEORENTAL, but they dont tell you unless you give them your email address and I wasnt doing that. So, is there a similar service for Canada?

I haven't used Greencine, but you might what to check out the DVD forum at Chud.com, there was a post there, only a month old, about this subject that had several replies from one of the founders of Greencine. He writes about Netflix and how/why they are different.

Personally I'm more interested in new releases and classics than indie and anime. In fact, I'm just starting to get into Netflix anime collection. So I decided to stick with Netflix for now.
