Hi
Playback of videos is often quite choppy on my machine. As far as I can tell the problem is in the loading of the content from network and even local disk. I guess it's not that the medium ist too slow but the latency is simply too high.
Thats why I'm looking for some way of prefetching the data from the storage into memory. Is there already a buffer like that in any of the (avi/mpg)-players ? Or is there a directShow-filter one can put between source-file and avi-splitter ?
I hope I could get across what I mean :)
Thanks in advance
