How do I assign the root menu to the "menu" button of my DVD remote control using DVDMaestro? I have read the manual and looked at the forum, but I can't find the answer. The manual says that the Root Menu key can be assigned in the normal assignments dialog. I don't see it listed even when I click on the advanced tab. I have assigned a menu to the Title button of my DVD remote, but I can't seem to assign another menu to the Menu button of the remote. Any ideas how to do this in DVDMaestro?

I'm going purely on memory here since I don't have access to my system but I believe all you have to do is assign a menu button function on the first chapter. Do not assign menu functions to the other chapters. Assigning it to the first will set the compile up such that when you press the menu button, you will be taken there, regardless of the chapter you are in. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this. Like I said, I'm going from memory.

I'm going to answer from the specs point of view. The menu button goes to the root menu of the current title set. So, you must be authoring in a title set domain, not the video manager domain, in order to assign the root menu.

Sounds as if you are referring to Scenarist. I do not believe Maestro allows you to arbitrarily select which "domain" you are working in.
