ok, 2 things spring immediately to mind:
1) What Sigma card is it? Is it a NetStream? It is not enough simply to have any old card that happens to incorporate a Sigma Designs chipset..
2) Have you used the Sigma drivers supplied on the Maestro CDROM?

Re' the drivers, fair enough, but re' the card itself - I never meant anything at all about the AGE of the card ("any old" is a phrase that just means "anything you can get, without caring if it's specifically the correct item")- I was referring to the actual model name/number of the card. You MUST have the correct card, it is not simply enough to have any card which happens to utilise a Sigma Designs chip. Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to recall that the specified card was the Sigma Designs NetStream2000 ( http://www.sigmadesigns.com/products/netstream2000.htm )
Please see the attached image, which is a snapshot from the Spruce Maestro Hardware installation manual:

Hi
Using Maestro I get Menu preview working on my hollywood+ card(overlay and ouput) and the card is recognised in Preferences but I cannot preview Movies (failed to connect.....).

Cinemaster 2000 supplies the software codecs required for PREVIEW in DVD Maestro.

I was aiming to get preview on my TV using the H+ card, this works for menus but strangely not for movies. I have Cinemaster 2000 installed but I only seem to have hardware decoder options listed in Preferences.

I think that Cinemaster 2000 is useful only in v.2.9 and NOT in 2.5 (correct me if i'm wrong)
Anyway, i'm running WinXP with DVDMaestro v.2.9 build 2915 with cinemaster 2000 installed and i have preview.
For those interested, Cinemaster 2000 is included with DVDIt v.2.5 PE...After install go to installation folder and you'll find it there

Cinemaster 2000 works ok with Maestro 2.5. Anyway I am using it for preview capabilities, never tried to output to a tv set.
