Okay, I think I've finally got the hang of ripping, demuxing, resizing, pulldown-ing and finally authoring a movie only in Scenarist.

Now I want to start making menus. I've advanced a bit in that I can create a Menu and link a (single, so far) button to a movie in Scenarist. I am able to author the disc okay, but when I play it back, the movie always plays first. When I select root menu, however, the menu appears and clicking on the button starts the movie playing, which is exactly what I want it to do.

But how do I get the menu to appear first instead of the movie?

Any help will be much appreciated and I'm happy to share any tips I've picked up in return.

Creating a dvd from downloaded avi files are my speciality if anyone's interested.

Connect the first PGC [it's created by default...you can make a new one if you've accidentally deleted it] to whichever title or PGC the menu is in. [Click and hold on "post" for the first play pgc, and drag the mouse to the desired location.] Double-click on the post button on the right side of the first PGC to see the list of commands.....you may want to only have one command there.
