The source of most of all problems in IVTC and quality in anime DVD is that it made from old transfers to magnetic tape on old cheap eqipment. Most masters for anime DVD is magnetic tape :angry: not ever betacam.
This caused lot quality degradation and sometimes progressive frames can't be recovered in IVTC.
Main sources of this is
1) Big inertia photosenisitive layer in telecine machine.
2) tracing errors in VCR.
