Meritline..... $.73 at 2X :)

Just FYI I recently purchased 180 Meritline DVDPRO disks at $.78/ea and applied the 1.90 firmware patch for my A03 that allows burning @ 2x on all media. I can now burn my movies at 2X with no problems whatsoever... For those of you who have problems with the Meritline media did you ever consider that it might be your authoring process. Just incase you are wondering here is what I'm using:

My Computer: Dual AMD MP1800, 1Gig RAM(Work), AMD XP2000 512M RAM(Home)

Hy SY !! :-) it's great to know you have those great results with DVD PRO (princo) media, and that is capable of 2x writing with success, this means it is not as crap as some people suggested !
My question is about DMA , I presume you've tested new hacked firmware on both units, I own a A03 , so should I use Pio mode or can I continue using DMA mode if upgrading to this new hacked 1.90 firmware ? I am running W2k ! also using prassi and have Xp2000.
