that reminds me that i saw that mentioned somewhere, then i forgot all about it, probably cause it wasnt all that interesting to get a crap (imho) dvd authoring software with a fairly high end editing suite.

but the mpeg-2 encoding and decoding built into premiere 6.5 seems to be nice anyway, altho with the Canopus Amber and the latest drivers it has the same thing, the export and capture plugins are hardware of course, not sure about the import plugin tho.

a friend has the prem 6.5 cd, i should ask him which DVDit comes with it, and is it any better than the one that has been out for a while.

I didn't realise that THAT was what they meant by "Sonic Technology" - kind of an oxymoron, in the context of DVDit!, I'm sure you'll agree!

i agree with you on DVDit, but it is actually a Sonic product, ReelDVD is technically a Daikin product ;)

altho i seriously need to fix my memory, meant to send my friend an email ages ago about it...

Lol - well I don't know if you've ever noticed, but I am often at pains to give credit to Daikin, and not Sonic, whenever I mention ReelDVD or Scenarist in my posts! - hence my sarcasm regarding "Sonic"+"Technology" (DVDit! is the very antithesis of technology IMHO).

Ahh well, I bet I'll get in trouble with Doom9 for being so contentious in public on the forums... :rolleyes: :D
