hi,

the rorw3290.dll file it the file writter, i think u should use with an another version of producer (perhaps the preview version). and of course update your avisynth version.

bye.

I have gotten that message with the preview version of producer. that is why I went to the Helix one. BTW cracker I have been meaning to get ahold of you. I use the RV9 codec a lot and if you need a beta tester just let me know. So far on 1.1 what doesn't work for me is the file splitting on last tab. That's about it. I also would like to know what setting you use for encoding. Do you use 1 pass or 2 pass and do you use smooth normal or sharp. I just did ronin (FINALLY GOT IT ON 8th TRY) on sharp and it was a little snappy so now I am going to try it on normal. If you got any ideas/hints I would like to trade experiences and thoughts with you along with the possibilities of me helping test your stuff.

Hi,

>oh yea what does the Avisynth used for and why do i need to update it? For the autorv9 1.1 all I need is besweet rmeditor and producer. where does the avisynth come into picture?

avisynth is needed to read .avs file (avisynth script) it was used like a frame server. it think u should have install it with gknot, and u should to update this file, new version fix problems with resize or memory lack, added optimisations....

> I have gotten that message with the preview version of producer.
(in fact there is not really differences beetween helix and preview version version) but the preview have at least one bug, a problems with dual cpu.

>I use the RV9 codec a lot and if you need a beta tester just let me know.

i am working on the v1.2 beta u can test it here :
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29077

try to make some tests on the subtitles, to be sure the .smil file are right generated, and there is no desynchronisation.
i have already some french betatester (more easy to understand the problems in my mother languague :) ) but i appreciate your request.

>So far on 1.1 what doesn't work for me is the file splitting on last tab

there is a probleme with the rmeditor bundle with the preview version, the atrc.dll and cook.dll file are outdated, so solve this problem use my light version (or copy the artc3290.dll and cook3290.dll from helix or preview producer codec folder to the realmediaeditor codec filder and overwritte file.
(u can find the encode log file in c: , the name are : Autorv9_Split.log and Autorv9_Join.log, if u have an error -1 it's because u have not enought space , and -21XXX910 it becaus the atrc.dll and cook.dll are outdated).

>Do you use 1 pass or 2 pass and do you use smooth normal or sharp.

for a quick backup of my dvd i use 1 pass for a quality backup 2pass, i use normal for short movie (because u use a hight bitrate) and for long movie (above 1H45) i use sharp to avoid to lose too much details.

in hight bitrate i use 4000 for 1cd rip and 3000 for 2cd rip .no change other options.

short movie bilinear resize, and long movie neutral bicubic.

wait the v1.2 final u could use more avisynth filter edit the script file.

Ps: sorry for my crap english.

Bye.

Good english or bad english those are words of Gold. I have a dual processor system so that bug is probably my problem. However i got the avisynth update and ripped two movies with no problem.

what differances will i seen in the bilinear, neutral and sharp bicubic?

ok well i counted my chickens before they hatched. For some reason while ripping a movie in 2pass almost always and a lot in single pass. It is doing it's thing then just all the sudden goes to the AutoRV9 1.1 gui. without touching it.... I'm so pissed

Hi,

>However i got the avisynth update and ripped two movies with no problem.

happy to heard this :)

>what differances will i seen in the bilinear, neutral and sharp bicubic?

the neutral and sharp bicubic keep more details the bilinear (but more details increase the bitrate needed for each frame if u want keep quality).

sorry i don't understand your last post :) u go to kill a chicken ?
is there a question in your latest post ? can someone could translate it in "simple" english ? u want to know if two pass are automate or u have a problem doing second pass ?

Bye.

Ps: i come back to school my next answer will be perhaps more later.

Well I think it is just that I have two processors that may be buggy. One thing though. Why is it that when i go sharp motion the video is jumpy? is that because I don't have enough computer power? If i was to play on a better computer would the jumping go away? Is there a noticable differance between normal motion and sharpest motioin quality wise?

Hey dark I don't suppose you know how to make the GUI get the rv9 to hit 700mb exactly do you? For some reason I did a 2 pass encode and set the final output to be 700 mb and it came out to be 706. My cd-rw doesn't support overburning.
