I'm trying to encode the Futurama Season 1 DVD set with Realproducer 9 (the preview command line version) but I always get some crackles in the sound, no matter what audio codec I use (I've tried so far atrc 3 and 4 and cook 25).
As a source I'm using an avisynth script that combines the d2v video with a 44.1kHz wave file with audiodub(). The wave file I made with Besweet and neither this file nor the avisynth video contain any crackling sounds, these sounds only appear in the final Realvideo file.
I've also noticed these slight crackles in some of my tv-captures that I encoded with Realproducer 9, but I always thought they were due to some slight capture problems and I hardly noticed them because of the overall worse audio quality in the captured files.
btw. this happens with or without audio watchdogs enabled, it's always the same...
I'd use Divx5 for the Futurama DVD, but unfortunately I get quite a lot of "shit-frames" with Divx5 (just like they appeared quite often with Divx3.11, only that Divx5 doesn't offer an "anti-shit" option).
This problem seems to be common with the Futurama DVDs, so my only options are:
1. using Divx3.11 with anti-shit (but I don't want to do that)
2. using Realmedia and find a way to encode the audio without crackles.
Has anybody else noticed crackling sounds with Realproducer 9 preview? Is Helix producer basic better regarding this problem (but I heard it's quite instable on some computers)?
