Hi...
I was just encoding «The Crow», trying to achieve a quality as high as possible (which, I think, everyone does) and had to realize that I cannot do much more than playing around with the resolution and resizing options (bilinear/soft.../normal.../sharp bicubic) as I don't know about advanced options like TemporalSmoother and similar kinds.
So I started looking through the forum and found some hints, but the problem is, as I haven't found a thread like this, one can neither do a search that will lead to halfway satisfying results nor only look in threads that have promising subjects because those advanced options' explanations are almost always hidden in f'ups.
Well, I had the idea of asking the pros among you to post and evaluate your favorite ways to enhance the quality of a rip with external filters, or even better, all the possibilities you know and then evaluating them.
I hope noone considers this as a break of the rules as I HAVE done some searches. I simply think that it would be useful to many less experienced rippers if there was a thread that listed and evaluated all those techniques.
So, hopefully we will soon see a great compendium how to improve your rips' quality apart from the basics doom9 mentioned in his amazing tutorials.
