Hi all, i was just wondering if people have had experience with Verbatim DVD-R's, they have a nice sale at Best Buy and am thinking about getting a spindle, i know a lot of people in the PS2 backup scene swear by them how are they for Video, any comments would be appreciated.

They're good, you'll have no problems, how much are they?

No coasters here at 2x speed. Some are burned with full 4489 MB :)

$41.99 and a $7.00 mail in rebate, making the total $34.99 for 15. That's only $2.33 each. rebate ends on 10/10 though.

Good discs, but one of my customers sfinds that the last 200mb of them is virtually useless (but how many of us actually burn over 4.3GB), and at $2.33 per disc that's darn cheap.

The last 200mb useless? That's strange....maybe this time, a company sells B-grade staff to USA, instead of Europe...As I said, I've burned several of them to full 4489 MB...

I am on my third spindle from Best Buy with the Verbatims. Great disks - no problems and they fill all the way. I have had zero problems with these disks.

I'm in New Zealand so I wouldn't be surprised if we got some of their lesser quality DVD-R discs. Their verbatium DVD-RW discs we can buy here burn happily all the way from the edge and don't suffer any read issues.
