So has anyone tried these BeAll disks? They're very inexpensive...about the same price as Ritek's.

The way Meritline describes them, makes them sound like high quality "branded" disks.

anybody?
Meritline sent me an email saying these were great disc, They also said that about the dvdpro.Ugh!
They may be great, but I wont buy from meritline again untill I am sure it is good, their return policy sucks.

Not nearly as good as Ritek!!!

Lots of problems in the last 10-20% of the disk, especially on Panasonic desktop players.

ahh just like the princos I wasted a couple of months of life burning only to become useless in a couple more months... has anyone found anything comparable to Ritek in quality and price? I mean, the Bealls were slightly above Ritek in price, but I haven't seen anything else that isn't obviously inferior in quality.

Got TDKs @ BestBuy for 189.99 (100 spindle) which are great and (2x).
Its a bit more than Ritek, but no worries.

I never got them! Meritline kept promising to ship them and eventually I gave up and disputed the charges on my credit card. I'll never order from them again. Their customer service people are clueless

OMG That's terrible.
I just had a run-in with them, but after a week I got everything shipped to me that was supposed to be. Trying to get them to compensate me by upgrading my shipping to overnight was quite a no-go though. If only www.allmediaoutlet.com had combo packages with single DVD Cases. Their dual DVD cases are ridiculous, they're too big for normal DVD Sleeves so worthless IMO. So I have to stick with Meritline.

I too was curious about the beall. The made it sound like a branded dvd-r. "NASA and the US government use them." they said. Well, I'm glad I bought another 100pk of Riteks from Rima for $115 shipped last month. TDK would be my brand of choice if the price ever comes down. I haven't heard any new info on the TDK armor coated dvd-rs (the ones that are suppose to be 100x more scratch resistent and cost only a few cents more than the regular TDK dvd-rs).

$115 from Rima? How come I don't see prices like that?

Scratch resistancy has no bearing in my world. I would like 'laser-rot' resistant :D

I just ordered the newer Samsung "DigitALL" discs. I'll post results once I get them.

UPDATE

These discs work pretty good. These remind me a lot of the retail PrimeDiscs w/ the silver frosting and writing lines (which were actually Auvistars.) Even the newer Ritek G3s usually skip once or
twice on my player, but so far these discs have run without any problems (even though they are reported as being RitekG03s themselves). They look a little nicer than a standard silver top, too.
