What font should I use to make my subtitles look like those on professionally authored DVD's?

I have tried Arial and Arial Bold, but they don't look as good as subtitles on original DVD's...

Of course when I copy an original DVD, I rip subtitles as BMP, so the original formatting is kept, but I am talking about when using subtitles downloaded from the web.

I have the same question I've tried all the fonts I have... (installed) but alas... some look quite good but it's just not it... you know?

Does anybody know the name of the actual font they are using to sub television in the netherlands???

I personally always use Arial Narrow Bold. Compact, but still incredibly easy to read, and looks good.
