Is here a guide on new CCE release?

I use CCE 2.50 mostly to encode SVCD, following guides on the "relative" section on doom9.
I've seen that parameters into new cce 2.66.x.x are quite different from 2.50.
In the doom9's guides section i've seen this guide
h*tp://doom9.org/mpg/ccd262.htm but the settings parameters looks familiar as previous 2.50 & are again quite different from the last 2.66.x.x.
Any1 here could be so kind to explain me optimal settings 4 encoding SVCD/DVD into the new version (like a short mini-new-guide on the last release).

i havent looked at 2.66 yet, but in 2.62 and 2.64, the settings are rather close to 2.5, but they do try to make it more user friendly in each version, im not sure if anything was majorly moved in 2.66, but there was a few more things added that may cause confusion, not sure exactly tho ;)

2.66 does introduce some major changes, enough that I think a new guide is needed. But it will take some time for people to get enough experience with the new settings to write a guide.

It might just be a peculiarity of the way I have set CCE-SP up in the past, but I am finding (on a subjective level, at least) that I am getting *marginally* cleaner encodes with 2.66.01.02 than I did with 2.50/2.62/2.64. I guess it's just that I am using the advanced settings a little differently, now that the settings dialogue for this has changed with the 2.66 builds. Anyway, I'm happy with it, despite still wondering why many people prefer ProCoder (I'm not saying they're wrong - I'm just bewildered as to why they prefer it over CCE-SP because I haven't personally found superior results on my test comparisons). All my encoding, be it from DV cam source footage, or VOB rips (I rarely do this!), is always in full D-1 720x576 PAL, so SVCD and VCD encoding are not part of the repertoire that I have thrown at ProCoder. Anyway, it's pretty simple to get decent results out of 2.66 without an additional guide, but I will still welcome an update when someone has had the time to do extensive testing with the new settings.

I agree with Arky. I also get much better encodes with 2.66.01.02 than with previous versions, especially using mb1 DV interlaced Matrix. All my source is full D1 DV 720x480, or VHS with pass through my D8 camcorder. The only thing I noticed, that 2.66 is a little bit slower than 2.64. On my system I was getting speed of ~1.3 with 2.64, and with 2.66 it is ~1.15.

really funny. On my P4 NW @ 2.3G the CCE 2.66 runs faster ( 1.35) than 2.62 (1.15). What CPU are you using?

I have Athlon XP 2000+, which runs at 1,713MHz, 512MB DDR RAM, Abit KR7A-133.
Do you use any filters in 2.66.

I do not use any filters in 2.66. Maybe SSE2 is supported by 2.66 so in runs faster on P4 but not sure about this

In regards to the speed issue. I have dual P4s (well xeons to be precise), but I always use avisynth which only supports 1 processor, and CCE 2.66 is faster than 2.64 for me (and 2.50 as I recall, when it wasn't freezing). I didn't/don't use any filters.
