Okay here is the score, I am getting set up to capture TV programs.
I have been reading the forums, but not sure I have all this stuff correct so here goes, feel free to correct me if I am wrong......
I have DirecTV, with a Sony UltimateTV recorder.
I am purchasing a Leadtek GeForce4 Ti 4600 VIVO (128mb) as my Video card/capture card.
I plan on connecting my SVideo out from the Sony Disc Recorder to the input on the Leadtek, then hit play and send the signal to the Video card.
My question regards codecs. I saw some talk about WDM = bad.
Can I use VirtualDub with my Leadtek card? The faq seems to indicate that this is the preferred software for capturing video.
anything I have forgotten in the equation?
