ffvfw is in hollydays ? ^^;

-h, do you have any news about the ffvfw developpement ?
it's seems there're no news since the 23th august et no new build since 27th.

i hope the new build will come soon ^^.
i love the performance of this codec with animes, and i can tell that ffvfw is better last xvid build. no doubt (but less details).

Unfortunately I don't have anything concrete, as I have nothing to do with its development :)

But I believe Milan posted a couple days ago that he'd adapt ffvfw to libavcodec's new 1-pass and 2-pass code, and release a new build when done.

I'm deciding to drop xvid.dll support from ffvfw and to concetrate on implementing almost every libavcodec feature: mpeg1 encoding, luminace masking, its own two pass routines,... . This would make the development easier because I wouldn't have to pay attention to differences between those two libraries.
The fact I'll be working more on ffvfw of course means that ffdshow development will be slowed down (again).

xvid.dll support broken, hmm why not. we'll use ffdshow for the decoding, i think, right ?

so i have some technical questions about your codec. ^^
i saw that in the last build, there were all the last features of the xvid (modulated quantization, i-frame reduction & %, etc...)
do you adap these or rewrite all ?

about the "single coefficient elimination", how does it works ?
i haven't tested it but i think that, more the threshold is low, less there're eliminations. am i right ? what is also DC ? ^^

at last, will you continue the implementations of the xvid features (without the api3.0) ?
i ask you this because the last xvid build has a lot of improvement wich are interesting, and it'll be great to keep these. as i think, libav isn't xvidApi, so will we'll lose all xvid features ? it will be very different after or it'll be very similar at the end ?
but i have to tell you that my anime encodes are better with ffvfw than with xvid. i don't know why, it's like that and i'm happy. :)

in conclusion, your codec is very promising, i'll continue to use it and wait your next build. :D
