I have a question... i encode an avi to mpeg2 and the de-multiplex it and run the files through bbmpeg.. so i can get the program to cut the files into cd-sized bits.. but when its multiplexing.. i get a "cannot find user data at i-frame xxxx at file c:\xxxx.xxx" error.. it happens everytime i try to multiplex... any suggestions?? one guy called it a random fluke.. but random goes out the door at 100%.. someone please offer some suggestions or a cure..thnx

make sure you are cutting so that the first frame in all the vids are I frames.

the other thing i thought of was make sure the video was encoded with Closed GOP, otherwise it wont work.

TMPGEnc will only cut at an I Frame (i think)

OK... I tried that just now... but i get the same error like 2 frames before the end of the first file.. i encoded the file and everything with GOP.. i'm using bbmpeg... so does anyone know a Fix or a bit-rate calculator that you can put in the bitrate-length of the movie and cd size (800mb) and then it tells you a time to cut it at?? i guess iu'm going to have to manually cut the .avi
thnx
