I have been using DVD2SVCD for SVCD, and have recently been using it as an easy way to strip and reencode DVDs before reauthoring DVDr.
One of the beta versions of dvd2svcd alows a PSeudo robshot methosd to be applied, that automates the 1 pass vbr foloowed by multipass.
As this approach does not allow you to allocate bits GOP level, is there any diffrence between this approach and just running a 2 pass VBR ?
If so can someone explain why ?
I am always aiming for a 4Gig file size, to fill the DVDr.
