I converted a 16:9 movie to 4:3 so it would be in compliance with my other two movies that i was putting on a disc with scenarist (I tried putting them in different VTS folders but it didn't work). After I converted the movie with CCE scenarist accepted it fine but when i play the disc on my dvd player the movie is full screen (no black bars at bottom or top). How do i correct this? I tried going in my setup menu on my dvd player and changing it but it didn't help. Should i have used something else instead of CCE or what else do I need to do to correct this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can mix 16:9 and 4:3 sources on the same disc, just as long as they aren't in the same VTS. If you create multiple VTS then you can use the videomanager and dummy pgcs to handle the navigation without problems.

Yeah, I tried that and it kept giving me errors. It was easier just to convert the one movie to 4:3 instead of trying to figure out why it wouldn't work. I posted the trouble I had with it and a pic of the error but nobody could figure it out so I just converted it to save time and trouble. So can anybody tell me how to keep it from showing up as full screen?

did you change the movie to 4:3 by simply changing the flag/setting, or but cropping/resizing the video and reencoding?

I didn't crop or resize, i just re-encoded it at 4:3 using CCE. Didn't even know you could crop movies. I know, I know, I'm a lame @$$
