everlasting topic: incorrect subtitle file w/ DVD Decrypter

Sorry to report this again Lightning UK, as you know I'm a great fan of your fine programme!
Lately, I've come up to the old issue with broken subtitle timings after a long error free period.

Two DVDs to name:
amores perros (RP2)
Rote Sonne (=red sun; a strange 70ies movie with Uschi Obermayer...;RP2)

The time chain gets screwed at some disseminate spots, it does not fall back to 00:00:00 but it adds some extra minutes and seconds to timecode.
BTW, I use SubRip v1.07 with "prevent restart from 0 in middle of DVD" option checked, seems like I have to leave this enabled regardless of the method of ripping (direct stream copy vs. demux+raw).
This seems to appear when demuxing (raw) to extra file.
When using direct stream copy the error normally does not occur.
With "Rote Sonne" it's a little different: Here even with DSC the time stamps are incorrect, but only in the first subtitle stream (german), the first subtitle picture is correct, the following pictures too late?! Second and third subtitle streams (english and french) were correct!
During DVD playback everything's fine, so no mastering error.

Any ideas, workarounds, patches, new special versions... help?

I have no idea why subrip or whatever does that. All the timing info should be there...Im not sure which streams other than the subtitle one itself subrip expects there to be.
Someone contact its author and ask!

Does smartripper (not) perform in the same way?
If it works and dvd decrypter doesnt, THEN we have a problem - or rather I have a problem.
Do a hex compare on the two resulting streams from the two programs and let me know if they differ at all. If they do, email them to me or something! I'll compare them and try to work out a fix.

In fact it seems like it's more a SubRip related problem.
Smartripper produced exactly the same streams with the same timecodes.

Now the case is nearly closed and we're back in business in case you, the coding fairy, fulfill a last wish for me and a huge subripping community: we need the 'create index file' functionality of SmartRipper.
Zuggy told me that even with that certain magic option checked (see above), there will be an offset because Subrip has to look at the last video or audio frame to grab the correct last time code, which is absent in case of demuxed 'raw' subtitle streams.
It's still confusing to me why a certain System Clock Reference gets reset to 0, but I think this is commen sense to you, read yourself:

An .idx file obviously keeps perfectly track of those time codes, I'm still in the middle of testing if it's working - just opening .idx file instead of .ifo in Subrip.

Back to front.
There's some drawback deriving from my experiences with Smartripper .idx file. It only resembles in structure to the .idx file VobSub is creating during subtitle ripping. Size is different (> vobsub.idx) and delivered time codes differ as well.

Also, it's no use to apply vobsub.idx on dvd_decrypter.sub, though I'm not sure if this isn't a huge "malefiz" stone (~obstacle).
In my case (Alien-20th anni) it is 4/100 sec earlier at the end compared to Smartripper.sub + smartripper.idx and both they are approximately 10sec earlier than vobsub.sub + vobsub.idx, which is supposed to be more accurate - well I haven't finished coding the movie, so frankly I don't know, which subtitle creation fits best.
Will report later.

So if you are eventually willing to implement a feature to write .idx file it's maybe best to contact gabest himself.
