cce encoding for DVD - PLEASE HELP

i am trying to convert an avi file into dvd format. i click the dvd compliant box in CCE. i am encoding a 2 pass, bitrate, 2000-8000 megabits. when i try to import my file into an authoring program it says that the file is not dvd compliant. whay is this, is it to do with the screen size( i.e should be 720 * 576 for pal) or what. if it is how do i specify this in cce?

CCE will only take the frame size the same as the input.

thanks fot your post, it confirmed what i thought.

if i wanted to then import this video file into an authoring package, how would i change the frame size so that it is accepted by the program.

you will have to either use tmpgenc, or resize the avi before sending it to CCE (either by creating a new .avi, or using avisynth or the like). more information on that is in the avisynth forum, a little is in here too.
