Outlook Experts wanted

Does anybody know where the adress typing help stuff (you start to type "doo" and the program already suggests "doom9") is stored? I put the .pst file onto another computer but that stuff didn't get transfered. Also, where is the account data and folder ordering stored?

You need to transfer the address book too.
You can export it by File ->Export-> address book
I usually export as cvs but i could suggest to export even as a wab (tools-> address book , then file -> export address book ->wab)

To import from outlook : >file ->import ->address book

hmm.. this sounds awfully familiar... too familiar in fact for a long time Outlook Express user. But in fact I'm not interested how to do it in OE (I already know that) but in Outlook, the MS Bloatware Mailclient/Contact Manager/Calendar.

Those things are cached locally in the registry I believe. That means you gotta learn each PC it's own cache... don't think it's not stored in the PST or PAB anyhow...

Don't quote me on this hehe.. but I think this is it ;)

btw; what do you mean with account data? The POP settings etc?

You can use a PRF file to tell Outlook how to act. Find info about this on MS's KB's.

- Outcmd.dat - This file stores toolbar and menu settings.

- <Profile Name>.fav - This is your Favorites file that includes the settings for the Outlook bar.

- <Profile Name>.htm - This file stores the HTML AutoSignature.

- <Profile Name>.rtf - This file stores the Rich Text Format AutoSignature.

- <Profile Name>.txt - This file stores the Plain Text format AutoSignature.

NOTE: If you use Word as your e-mail editor, signatures are stored in the Normal.dot as Autotext entries. This file should be backed up as well. Custom views are integrated to the folders on which they were created. If you export items from one Personal Folder to another, the views are not maintained.
