Standalone: Folder Structure Instead of Playback

Searched on the forum for something about this but no luck, sorry if this has been covered before.

Been trying out burning of miniDVD using Ulead and Ifoedit/Nero, following the guides from vcdhelp and doom9

Both methods have produced successful burns onto CDRW.

These also fire up quite happily in my standalone (and a m8's round the corner) but instead of playback I get this on the standalone screen:

ROOT:______AUDIO_TS
___________VIDEO_TS

___________FOLDER

You can move about this menu structure and open the folders to reveal the vobs, and can then play the whole movie/ set of clips. No video_ts.vob is included, but ifoedit didn't pick it up in any case when I created ifo files. Playback is good for each file but they are not seamless, and it jumps back to the standalone screen between each vob.

What I want is for either, the movie to autoplay on insert, or for the VIDEO_TS.VOB to run with a menu.

No, I guess what I want to know is, how can I take a group of unrelated vobs, and set them up with ifoedit to play seamlessly back to back, either on isert or from a menu. (Don't want much eh?) Both Ulead DVD Movie Factory and Iforedit seem to offer this, but I must be missing something?

Have you tried creating an image with the image tool fuction in info edit?

I feel you can just put all your differents bos in a directory, rename to VTS_01_1.VOB, VTS_01_2.VOB, VTS_01_3.VOB etc...

Then just launch Ifoedit and click on "Creates IFO" and it will generate IFO stuff.

just one Get VTS sectors and you are ready.
Then best is to create an image with imgtools, and burn with DVD Decrypter.

oh, BTW, it's an Ifoedit relative question (or authoring basic if you want menus) qo I move it to the right forum.

I think the problem is with MiniDVD - not all players are mDVD compatible and they recognize all CDs as data/audio CDs and in case of data they show you directories so you can play MP3s... Have you tried some mDVD sample that worked?

I fear it might simply be my player not up to doing miniDVD (This to do with the speed of CDR/W v DVD media so I have read. (Not in Doom9 though!)

I shall try out your suggestions, and feedback if I have any success.

Re right place in the forum, it's often the case that you are never sure where to post until after you have the answer!!!
